Hyperview - Title Fight

I got around to posting this really late so I'm sure most people have already listened to this, but if you haven't or if you've heard about this album and decided not to listen check out what I have to say quick.  I'm a big fan of Title Fight so I was very excited for this album to be released.  When they started releasing singles from the album I started getting more and more hesitant towards it because I wasn't sure if I liked the direction that they were going.  To be honest, this is totally them doing the "in" thing right now.  With that being said, I do like the album.  After listening through it once or twice I wasn't too excited about it.  I didn't really have any drive to go back and listen again.  After being bored and listening through it more I started to like it.  Some songs repeatedly keep getting stuck in my head.  This definitely isn't the album for kids who only liked Shed and aren't in to anything melodic.  Hyperview is really a good album if you give it the chance.  Go into this album with an open mind and spend time letting it sink in.

Tierra Y Libertad - Xibalba

It's been a little while now since we've posted and I blame it on school starting up.  Gotta do what I gotta do.  I literally just saw that this album leaked and I knew I wanted to put it up.  I'm literally only two minutes into the first song so I can't say much about it yet other than that it is one of my most anticipated albums of the year.  Also, we hit over 50,000 views some time this past week and I want to say thank you to anyone who checks this blog out.  Keep listening to good music.

Eternal Misery - No Zodiac

I haven't gotten the chance to sit down and listen through this enough times to give a very in depth review on this album, but I can give my first impression.  I became a fan of No Zodiac after their last release Population Control.  I am and always have been very aware of how cheesy this band can be and how shitty half of the things about their music is, but there is something about being a band that is so pissed that it comes off as arrogant that I like.  I always have thought that their vocalist wasn't very good and that he left a lot to be desired compared to how crushing the rest of the instrumentals are so I was very happy to see that the band got a new vocalist.  Some of the songs I think he hits pretty well, some songs I think sound like Job For A Cowboy 2006-era which were only kind of cool back in 2006.  There is also a song on the album that features guest vocals from The Acacia Strain's Vincent Bennett which I thought would sound great on a No Zodiac album but I'm about 90% sure that it was recorded on his phone and sent through a text.  With all of that being said, this is a much better album than Population Control in the view of them growing as artists.  This is a much more solid release musically and I really think that this album will help bring the band a lot more publicity.  Check this album out if you're in the mood for something that is almost disgusting how angry it is.  Laugh at how bad their tour poster is while you're listening to the album.

Random Shit

Now that we've actually started posting again I'm really starting to enjoy it.  It's been really cool recently reading through the feedback of what people think of this blog again and also reading through the feedback of the reception of our EP that we put out recently.  I know that I have no blogging experience at all and that this blog is super shitty and I know that musically our band is never going to be as cool as endless amounts of other bands but it's awesome hearing from the people who actually dig it.  It would be awesome to see some of the traffic on this site head over to our facebook page and make everything more social.  Or if facebook isn't your thing just commenting on the posts is cool too.  I promise you that I will read every comment ever posted on this site reasonably quick.  I'd love to hear what you guys want posted or just random shit that people are into right now.  I might get a forum started for this site if I can figure out how to make that happen.  I'll keep myself from rambling much farther on this but if anyone ever wants to talk about how fucking bad ass that Expire, Rotting Out, Suburban Scum, Bent Life, and Mizery tour is then please feel free to on here because I about shit my pants when I saw that.  I'll be at the OKC date and if anyone is trying to chill hit me up.  Sorry for the ranty post here.  I'm too fucking tired to let myself get on here.  I'll post the link to our facebook, my band's facebook, and that bandcamp again just because I'm feeling self promotey.  Let me know what you guys think.  -Ian

Everything Will Be Alright In The End - Weezer

This came out awhile ago but I feel like since this blog is mainly hardcore that this album probably got passed up by people even though everyone in the world has a soft spot in their heart for Weezer.  I have to admit, their past three albums were pretty fucking bad.  This album however, is sick as hell.  The first single from this album was Back To The Shack and that is literally an apology song for their past three albums.  That's the best possible move that they could have made as a band and they pulled it off perfectly.  In my opinion this is the perfect follow up to Pinkerton and I know all of you motherfuckers on the internet like to pretend like Pinkerton is the most influential thing to ever happen to music even though I can guarantee that 95% of you didn't even know what Pinkerton was until you heard about it scrolling through tumblr.  In all seriousness though, this album is great.  It's their second most emotional album ever (following Pinkerton) and it's really cool to see them open up a little bit.  The instrumental work is exactly what you want to expect from Weezer and every song is the type of song that makes me want to go pick up a guitar and start playing along which is exactly how I feel when I listen to the Blue Album.  Whether you've been a Weezer fan since the 90's or you've never heard a single song from them you really need to listen to this.  It's a huge breath of fresh air in the shitty pop rock wasteland that is the radio right now.  Weezer is taking back over.
